Philadelphia-born, Dr. Silverman was educated at Drexel
University. He went on to attend Medical School at Hahnemann in
Philadelphia, and obtained his residency at Abington Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Silverman is Board Certified in Internal Medicine,
Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine.
His areas of focus at this Practice and at Abington
Memorial Hospital are patient care in pulmonary diseases, critical care,
procedures such as bronchoscopy and thoracentesis, and interpretation of
pulmonary function studies. He was a previous President of the Medical
Staff at Abington Memorial Hospital.
Joining Abington Pulmonary & Critical Care Associates
in 1997, Dr. Silverman states, “Having been a resident at AMH, I was aware
of the high level of care that was delivered by Abington Pulmonary, and I
wanted to be part of this highly skilled group.”
Dr. Silverman enjoys photography and bicycling in his
