A
lifelong resident of the Philadelphia area, Dr. Mishel performed his
residency training in Internal Medicine at Abington Memorial Hospital. He then went on to
a Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship at Baystate Medical Center in
Springfield Massachusetts. He completed his fellowship at Case
Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio and in 1979, returned to
Abington to practice.
While at Abington Memorial Hospital, he has
served on the Executive Committee of the Medical Staff and the Quality
Assurance Committee of the Board of Trustees.
He now serves as the Chief of Pulmonary
Medicine in the Department of Medicine and as the Medical Director of the
Respiratory Care Department. He also is the chairperson of the
Department of Medicine Performance Improvement and Peer Review committee
and the Specialist representative to the Information Services Department.
Lastly, he is the managing partner of
Abington Pulmonary & Critical Care Associates, Ltd.
Dr Mishel is certified in Pulmonary Medicine, in
Critical Care Medicine, and in Internal Medicine.
