Hailing from Clinton, Mississippi, Mr. Barefoot
completed his undergraduate work at Delta State University. He came
north to attend The University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained his
Master’s Degree in Nursing, specializing in the Adult Critical Care
Program. Afterwards, he continued training in Nursing Administration
and Wharton Healthcare.
He is a Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner,
and practices at Abington Memorial Hospital, focusing on management of
acutely ill patients in the critical care units and other inpatient
areas. He serves on the Advanced Practice Professional Committee, the
Sepsis Committee, and the Sedation Committee for Policy and Procedure
Development.
Mr. Barefoot chose to become affiliated with
Abington Pulmonary & Critical Care Associates because of its quality
care focus on doing “the right thing” for our patients. He enjoys the
camaraderie and family attributes that continue to define this Practice.
From a personal perspective, he enjoys spending
time with his children and playing soccer. He cherishes family visits
back down South. |
