Dr. Ward is a native of the Philadelphia area, having
been born in the City and educated at St. Joseph’s University. He compiled
his medical credentials by obtaining a degree from Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine, a residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby,
a Pulmonary Fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, and then
back to Philadelphia for a Critical Care Fellowship at the Medical College
of Pennsylvania Hospital.
He is Board-Certified in Pulmonary Disease and Critical
Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His medical
interests and expertise lie in treatment of asthma, COPD, lung cancer, and
pleural effusion.
At Abington Pulmonary& Critical Care Associates, Ltd.,
and at Abington Memorial Hospital, Dr. Ward practices inpatient and
outpatient Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. At Abington Memorial
Hospital, he serves on the Sedation Committee and the Ventilator-Associated
Pneumonia Committee.
The desire to remain in the Philadelphia area is
motivated by his interest in being close to Family and Friends. He enjoys
watching his children compete in crew on the Schuylkill River and Tae Kwon
Do tournaments. Also, at the risk of jinxing the teams, he admits to being
a devoted Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles fan. |
