I was born and raised in Mumbai, one of the most
vibrant cities in India. After finishing my medical education in Mumbai and
working there for 2 years, I decided to move to the US to further my
education. I finished my Internal Medicine Residency at Graduate Hospital
in Philadelphia where I met my wife—a Philly native. I went on to do a
fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in
Rochester, Minnesota.
As Philadelphia was my first home in this country, it
became natural for us to move back as we have found a sense of community and
attachment to this city. We are happy to move back to Philadelphia to work
and serve in the area. I am happy to be part of “Abington Pulmonary” as I
am proud to have found that they are focused on patient care, progressive
evidence based learning, and advancing science to provide the best treatment
and comfort for our patients.
During my residency and fellowship , I was also an
instructor in Medicine as I enjoy learning and teaching at the same time.
My major interest in Pulmonary medicine is on smoking related interstitial
lung diseases and lung cancer.
Besides Medicine, I also enjoy reading, cooking and
watching baseball, and football.
