Originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, Dr.
Friedenheim graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors from Lafayette College
in 1984 as a Charles A. Dana Scholar and member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Subsequently, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School
of Medicine in 1988. He completed his medical residency in Internal
Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 1991 and his
fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care in 1995 also at the University
of Pittsburgh.
Currently, he is board certified in Internal
Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep
Medicine. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Sleep Medicine, and
a Fellow of both the ACCP and the ACP.
Dr. Friedenheim is currently the Associate Director
of the Abington Memorial Hospital Sleep Disorders Center. He serves on
the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, the Antibiotic Subcommittee,
and the Emergency Preparedness Committee at Abington Memorial Hospital.
His medical interests include Sleep Medicine, Sleep Disorders, COPD,
Asthma, Interstitial Lung Disease and Pulmonary Hypertension.
Personal hobbies include tennis, golf, weight
training, and collecting paperweights. |
